This circuit for a receiver audio output stage appeared in Sprat 100 and Lo Key.

The circuit has AGC and 'S meter' and works from 6v.

The bottom half of the IC runs flat out giving independent AGC and an output meter.

The top portion can be varied from 'in phase' (no sound) to 'out of phase' (maximum sound) and does not affect the 'S meter'.
